Düzelecek Turkish Women’s Council was founded in Ankara in 1959 by Turkey’s first women diplomat and  senator Adile Ayda. 

On 29.06.1973; With the Cabinet of Ministers Decision No. 7 / 6689; The word TURKISH  is given  

 It became the « NATIONAL COUNCIL OF TURKISH WOMEN  (NCTW -TKKD) 

 ICW has advisory status in United Nations Category A and NCTW full member ofICW -International Council of Women.   

Also it is a full member of the ECICW “National Women’s Council of European Countries”, the regional organization of the ICW. 

The number of Turkish Women’s Council Association branches in Turkey increased to 20. 

 

NCTW, has its headquarters in Ankara, 20 branches in different cities in Turkıye. 

NCTW is  working in the Public Interest.  

The Turkish Women’s council has about 750 members together with its branches. 

 

 

NCTW  head quarters is in capital  Ankara General President is Fatma Fatoş İnal. Aydanur Mursal ,Sengül Gün are vice presidents. 

 The aim of the association is to provide solidarity and moral development of Turkish women.  Developing awareness and sense of responsibility in terms of being a mother, wife, citisen and human as women. 

In addition, human rights and equality between women and men and the prevention of all forms of discrimination against women and supports by participating in the studies carried out throughout the country. 

To work across the country for education of women to raise awarness for girls education. 

Developing relations by attending and organising meetings to promote policies in Turkiye and exchance ideas and expriences nationally and internationally. 

Turkish women at the international level. 

To exchange international and national information by establishing an information network.
